My take on this is – Real Sponsors don’t take Blogger blogs seriously and Serious bloggers are catching on. Recently there has been a mass exodus from Blogger as users realize “Hey I have created a successful blog but as long as I‘m on Blogger the community won‘t see me as successful.”
Google must be catching on and hoping to scare Blogger users into staying. Google is probably betting that bloggers won’t be bright enough to realize that Face Book and Twitter, as a tool, are far more effective.

The fact of the matter is, if you don’t have a self hosted blog, you appear to be just playing around with this blogging thing. You can piss and moan and squeal as much as you want, but the unfortunate truth is you’re not considered a “Real Blogger” unless you’re self hosted.

You’re little group my disagree, you may have tons of followers with a high PR, but you’re still on Blogger – the wrong side of the tracks.

Now I know what you’re thinking “You Witch! You have no idea what you‘re talking about. My blog is 10 times more successful than yours”
DON’T KILL THE MESSENGER!

I’m not saying I condone the idea of Blogger being the hag tag of the blogging community, I’m just telling it like it is.
I build Blogger templates/themes/layouts every day for happy Blogger users, but they all come back to me asking to have their theme recreate for WordPress.

Regardless if you use Blogger, WordPress.org, WordPress.com, Joomla, ZenCart or one of the other ten thousand platforms, it’s a good idea to start moving your followers to FaceBook Fan Pages, Twitter and G+ pages now before GFC leaves us all together.

PLEASE leave a comment with a link to your FaceBook Fan Page, Twitter and G+ pages so I may follow you.

Mine are: FaceBook, Twitter, G+

There are HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of Children on this planet absolutely desperate for a home. As bizarre as the Duggers are, obviously they aren’t child molesters or drug addicts – they would make wonderful Foster or Adoptive parents, but for some reason they choose to continue to breed even after the near death of their 19th child.

I have more respect for Jon & Kate! At least they were only trying for 1 more, they got 6 by mistake.

Sure, everyone wants children of their own, but if you want a large family – Those that GOD can give you are ALREADY HERE!

I can’t believe how the Duggers talk about Morals.
It’s time the Duggers take a good long look at their morals.

Don’t tell me “As many as God gives us.” God will Gladly Deliver Unto the Duggers a Child that Mama Dugger doesn‘t need to birth.

Are Foster Kids not good enough to be Duggers? I’m sure there must be a few Foster children out there with names which start with the letter ‘J‘!
Maybe an adopted child would lead the Duggers down the path of destruction? Are the Duggers so afraid of the outside world – maybe they don’t think their children will survive any kind of outside influence.

Duggers, put your God where your Mouth is – Adopt and Foster children who need you.

We all have supernatural children with extraordinary powers – Oh come on, you do too!

But there are a group of Mommy Bloggers who are crazed far more then the rest of those of us who have joined Motherhood – those are the Mommy Bloggers who blog about “Parenting” 10 times a day.

Yup, they are such super parents that they are able to handle at least 10 issues with their children then turn around an blog about those issues every day! If they stepped away from their laptops for 10 minutes maybe they wouldn’t have so much to write about – but that point is completely lost on them.

Once upon a time I was on a forum where a woman was constantly quoting from the vast amount of child development books that she had read. She was an absolute fountain of reasoning as to why her children had so many issues.

Finally one day I couldn’t take it any long and I posted “You know, if you put down the book and got down on the floor with your twin 3 year olds, maybe they won‘t have so may problems”

The woman was reading 4 books a week – FOUR BOOKS! And when she wasn’t reading, she was online telling all of us what she had read and how it applied to her sons – when was she actually spending time with her children?

Yet, another forum I’ve been banned from!

And tonight I started another riot.
I was on Triberr and made a comment about Mommy Bloggers who blog about “Parenting” 12 times a day clogging up the twitter stream. Out of the wood work came moms justifying their reasoning for avoiding their children. “My kids are in school for 8 hours” Ok, but when they are home they cause enough trouble to produce 12 posts EACH AND EVERY DAY?!?! What Kind of Parent Are You? And to justify it? WOW!

Ok, your kids have problems, all kids have problems, but if you can write 12 blog posts every day about the amount of problems your kids have – blogging isn’t where you should be spending your 8 hours of free time when your kids are in school. PARENTING CLASSES would be my suggestion.

I have to add this: themompetition.com/
Complements of: Looking for Isis Thank You! I fell off my chair laughing.

I’m a Republican like Susan Collins is a Republic – pretty much in Name Only! I tend not to lead in to a post or conversation with my political title because it gives people the wrong impression. But this time, I need to put on that title and ask “What the heck? Occupy Wall Street?”

Occupy Wall Street – they have no purpose – well, clear purpose at least.

What do we want? – We Don’t Know!
What are we going to do? – We’re …. not going home… until we get…. “It“?

Well, there you go, you can go home, you got what you came for – Nothing!

We’re a Revolution Embarrassment!

All those other countries put together revolutions just using twitter, we can’t even figure out what is wrong or what we want to do about it.

Interview after interview and everyone said the same thing “We need change” Everything has changed. Everything is changing. We need Answers and Solutions.

I’m all for change and occupying whatever, but get your butt in gear and figure out what you WANT first – How Do They Know If They are Occupying the Right Place if they don‘t have the answers or the solution or for that matter – They Don‘t Even Know The Question!

Who would have thought the rich and envied were nothing more than “Mean Girls” still living in the High School mentality.

Drama from beginning to end, but here are my highlights:

Kyle and her husband meet with Lisa and her dog carrier for dinner.
Kyle is already uncomfortable around Lisa’s husband, the dog carrier, because they had words at some dinner party – apparently the wealthy can’t have a friendly difference of opinion, like us normal folk. Then Kyle …. and if you haven’t figured this out yet, Kyle is a girl – she does look a bit like a well kept drag queen, but she is female – Kyle goes on to berate one of her dear friends, Dana. Dana’s son is quite intelligent and she is very proud of him. {Kyle for the record my daughter could also read at 18 months, she spoke Spanish as a second language, this is actually common these days, you shouldn’t berate your friends because your kids are fixated on tutu’s and things that sparkle – but I digress. }
After talking behind Dana’s back, Kyle goes on to scold Lisa for not ‘wanting to be friends’ with Dana. WOW Kyle, with friends like you …….!

Let’s face it, we’ve all talked trash, but I hope I got that all out of my system in the 8th grade.

Dana IS a piece of work, her new sun glasses were $25,000.00! Yes, that’s right, I didn’t get it mix up, not only did I hear it, I read it on the closed captioning 4 or 5 times because the woman couldn’t help but flaunt the price tag.
Does she realize people are starving? Suddenly I feel a bit of pride, I know it’s another sin, but I can’t help but feel proud of myself. I spend 3 to 4 nights a week, in my unfinished kitchen, sewing Little Dresses for girls in Africa and that brings me more joy than any pair of sunglasses.

Petty, predictable, unstable, immature girls – and most of them aren’t very pretty.

Lisa and Michele Jackson must share the same plastic surgeon – they could be siblings. Lisa lives with man who carries her dogs around.

Kim is Kyle’s sister – I’m pretty sure Kim’s the groups prostitute (think Sam from Sex and the City with a heavy opium habit).

Taylor is the Twit, so boring she‘s hardly worth a side note.

Adrienne the classic gody snob, the kind who makes unintelligent babble sound stuck up – going on about how she always needs life guards at her parties – oh whoop-tee-do. And her little doggy likes to poo in her hubbies shoes – ever heard of a run? It’s a line behind the house where you hook your dog so they can do their business and after you let them back inside.

Almost every year I make a big Mr. Peanut and post a sign No Peanut Candy. This year Treasure is Gluten/Dairy Free – so I’m bumping this up a notch. We’ll still do our regular Nut Free candies, but we will also have a Gluten/Dairy Free option.

It wasn’t that hard and almost accidental, I’ve been thinking about G/D treats, but it was still something rattling around in the back of my head.

Monday I found out that Smarties are G/D free and today while I was at Wal-mart Fruit Rollups appeared in front of me. I’ve always skipped over the rollups since they contain nothing healthy, but this isn’t supposed to be healthy – this is a treat!

I also grabbed some Vampire teeth, Pencils and Erasers to toss into the pot of treats.

Gluten, Dairy, and Nut Free Halloween Treats were easy to find!

Know of any other good pre-packaged G/D/N free Halloween treats?
Please let me know!

Tom said he seed [sic] it all).

As far back as I can remember my mother instilled in me a sense that one day I would grow up and be a preachers wife. I’m sure she envisioned that I’d have a few kids, live in a parish, and play piano every Sunday morning leading the church choir – Boring! What a disappointment I turned out to be.

I often say “I was never ‘Taught’ anything in school” My teachers and home school leaders would tell you that is inaccurate – but they don’t understand the meaning behind the sentence.
My entire life I was either home school or went to small Christian schools, where we would sit at a desk, which was enclosed on 3 sides, open our books, read several paragraphs then answer several questions.

In Christian schools and home schools, at least at the time, learning was done by oneself: read, answer questions, move ahead, read, answer questions, move ahead. We rolled through the information not taking a lot of it with us.

Which brings me to the title of my post.
I love to write …. and talk. I was never much of a reader, but putting my thoughts down on paper has always been something I’ve loved, but having someone else read it scared the heck out of me.

I was never ‘taught’ grammar and a spelling list wasn’t something you’d find in the “Phonics” world – so my grammar, punctuation, spelling and just simple sentence structure are atrocious!

Recently I found Grammar Girl! I love her! Simple memory tricks to help me remember what to do and when. The only problem – I have no idea what a ‘possessive clause’ is nor can I identify any of the parts of a sentence other than a noun and that’s shoty at best.

Then the other day I read something about blogging (sorry I forget where) that read most people will not notice spelling or grammar errors and even if the reader does notice these errors, who are you writing for? Them or you? The more you write the better you’ll get. Plus if you try to reword and rewrite every sentence to meet grammar rules then you are not really saying what you mean, you’re in actuality lying to your readers.

Well, yes and no. If you don’t use grammar rules you could be saying what you don’t’ mean, BUT I’m a blogger, not a writer! I can learn the rules as I blog, but I can never go back and start writing after I learn all the rules. Times a waste’n – I’ll blog now and edit once I’ve finally figured it all out!

However, I knew we’d never be approved, but to get any type of help navigating the system, we must first apply for the basic government assistance, be rejected and only then can we apply for the aid we can actually get which is case management.

You would be shocked how may different pieces of paper you need just to apply to be rejected! It’s insane. I handed the woman a BOOK!!
Government agencies must be funded by the page.
Every scrap of paper referring to my child from the second she was born – just to be rejected so we can apply for case management.
And do you know what we want from case management?
Help navigating the system. Yup! We just want to make sure that our little Treasure doesn’t get pushed aside. SIGH!

It kinda went like this: Receptionist: Why are you here today?
Me: To be rejected for Medicare.
Receptionist: Odd Look.
Me: And look, I’ve already made out the forms and have all the additional paperwork!

I feel lucky that I only had to wait a little over an hour to see someone – I’ve heard horror stories – and the someone I saw was Very Nice, but she spent an hour of her day helping me get rejected for something that I knew we couldn’t have in the first place, when she could have been helping someone with something that they could obtain.

It’s all just mind boggling!

****************************************

Enough of that. Today is October 4th
Happy National Golf Day
And Happy National Frappe Day!

*****************************************

I think that’s enough boggling for today, I’m going to wash some floors or something!

****************************************

PS I know the picture doesn’t make any sense, but neither did the day! LAUGH!

There are plenty of things “I don‘t get” and I can’t wrap my head around Arizona Immigration Law, it makes as much sense to me as Slavery – which is none.

I’ve heard the arguments – they’re taking American jobs, they’re smuggling drug , weapons and they bring violence.
Really? All of them?

Have you not seen the documentaries? Are you telling me those folks who haul their children from here to ten-buck-to so the family can pick apples for a season to earn a living – all those people are smuggling drugs and weapons?

You can’t tell me they are stealing American jobs, because I’ve never met an American who picked an apple for anything other then pleasure!
Honestly if immigrants didn’t pick the US crop of Apples, they wouldn’t get picked!

Our grandparents blamed everything on the Polish and the Jews, now we blame everything on hard working Mexicans? Is that America Equality?

Perspective here, people! Unless you’re ‘Native’ – at some point, your family had immigrant status.

I love the “so they should get over here legally – the right way” Yeah, how is that going to change anything? Let’s just make them all legal right now – is that going to make you bitch less?

Is it any wonder Americans are fat and lazy?
Think about the way we raise our kids. From the moment my second child was born she had Organic formula, she ate organic fruits and veggies until she was 18 months old, her little body never touched the ground, I can only say in my defense that I’m not the best house keeper so she was exposed to some dirt – is it any wonder she’s autistic? She was practically a bubble child for the first 2 years. Immigrant kids are digging potatoes, bring in the crops, working 12 hours a days to help their parents feed them.

Everyone has something to give. Everyone can contribute. The problem isn’t “the immigrants” it’s Us Red Blooded Spoiled Americans. Sure you go to work, do your job and expect a pay check, you have a right to whine – what is whining getting you? Nothing! What is blaming getting you? Nothing!

Go Pick The Freaking APPLES! Stop the Blame and the Whining, Prove you’re not a spoiled American.

If you HATE cooking as I do, you’re screwed.

The other problem is if it’s Gluten free, it’s covered in Cheese to make it taste good. We can’t have dairy either.

There are VERY few Gluten/Dairy Free recipes and every one of them has 800 ingredients, are designed for master chefs, most always slimy and never anything a young child would consume – I wouldn’t eat much of it. Look at that image above – NASTY!! None of it even looks appetizing.
