Scrapbooking, Digital Scrapbooking and Photo Laminated Placemats
If you Friend or follow me on FaceBook you know that my last laminator came to a tragic end – and I have been at a loss without it. So last week I broke down and purchased another one for all of $19.00 at Wally World – I don’t know what took me so long!
Side Note: Don’t try to make stain glass with crayons and a laminator – just don’t do it.
A few nights ago I had one of those moments when I sat up in bed and thought “Hey! What kind of crafts fan I do with a Laminator?” And here we are.
Side Note: Did you know that Windows and word processors don’t like the words Scrapbooking, Placemats or Laminator? All of which when I Google the spelling tell me they are spelled correctly – but I digress.
ANYWAY! For my first Laminator Craft project I’m making Placemats! And I’ve come up with several ideas.
For the first placemat I took out my old Sizzix machine that I keep meaning to donate, but then keep coming up with new ways to use it.
I did a few fish and beach things and a picture of my oldest. I made that one double sided. Not sure why I didn’t think of making the others double sided, but I suggest you do.
Next I opened up Photoshop. Remember I’m using an OLD Version of Photoshop (Elements 6) so I won’t give any tutorial on it, but if you’d like the .png to download so you can create your own the link is below.
For this one I took some of my favorite images and ‘masked’ the squares – that was pretty much it.
Digital Scrapbooking Placemat
Yes, you know I went to my old standby, the best standby! I opened my digital scrapbook folder filled with digital papers and elements Created by Jill
. Honestly, each time I visit her online store I purchase 3 or 4 more kits.
I know this is very busy, but the idea is not to get bored with it. Every day of the month you can find something new. For March I plan to make a type of treasure hunt map! I’m so excited!!
