Vinegar! Again with the Vinegar I know, but it works.
Rusted bolts on bikes, rusty hinges, if you can’t get them off, soak a paper towel and leave a very saturated towel on the rusted metal.
Check it every few hours.
Test the item first to make sure the vinegar isn’t going to hurt anything around the area.
