Bing Rewards – Earn credits for searching with Bing
Shhh! I’m about to tell you a secret. You can’t tell anyone. Okay, that’s not true, you can tell everyone. But it is something you don’t know about me. I’m using Bing as my search engine now. And I’ll tell you why. Not only does Bing give me excellent search results, but now they have sweetened the deal and they are giving me Bing Rewards Credits as well.
What are Bing Rewards Credits? I’m glad you asked. Every time I search with Bing, I get Rewards Credits. And I can redeem the credits for gift cards, sweepstakes entries, or even charitable donations. All I needed to do was to register with Bing Rewards – it was free and I signed in in with my existing Microsoft account (and earned 20 extra credits for doing it!) If you don’t have an existing Microsoft account you can create one or you can use your existing email to set up your account.
Then the fun began for me. I went to the “redeem” tab under Bing Rewards and started to shop. Some of my favorite rewards were Dominos, Fandango, Amazon, Applebees, Shutterfly, or for cash off at the Microsoft store, but there are many more rewards than that. I also want to enter some of the sweepstakes they offer. Right now you can spend you credits to win a $500 gift card to Sephora, a Surface Pro 3 tablet, a Limited Edition Call of Duty game, or a $500 Game Stop gift card. Or if you are feeling more altruistic, you can use your credits to make donations to charities such as Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Kids in Need, and Teach for America. Another great option is to donate your credits to the school of your choice for www.bing.com/classroom – they can earn free Surface tablets for the classroom and use special Microsoft ads free technology.
So how can you earn credits? By doing something you are already doing: searching the internet. Once you are logged in to Bing, you get credits added to your account when you perform searches. I was also able to earn credits for taking the virtual tour, and even for completing a fun football quiz! If you recommend Bing Rewards to your friends, you can earn even more credits. Bing makes it very simple to earn credits, and even simpler to redeem them. One of the things that I like is that the sweepstakes entries require very few credits, so I can enter easily, or I can save up my credits to redeem them for bigger rewards. There are even levels – Member, Silver and Gold that you can achieve that will help your credits go even further. I know I like earning badges and leveling up – especially if it means I can save money.
