Supernova 300 Ultra Bright LED Camping Lantern #Supernova300
I have always loved going to Grampy Williams’ camp, ever since I was a little girl. The camp has two stories, and my dad and his brother spend time every summer making repairs and tinkering. Even though the camp has electricity, I can remember using lanterns when we were outside at night after playing and swimming all day. I also remember the lanterns themselves; I loved the soft glow they gave, and how they lit our way on nighttime walks. But thinking of lanterns reminds me of the number one rule about them: kids were NEVER allowed to touch them. The glass got extremely hot, tipping them over was very dangerous, and we couldn’t touch the silk mantles inside – once they were lit, touching them would make them disintegrate, and they were not cheap. That’s why I was so relieved as an adult when we could get lanterns that were powered by electricity. They were much safer and easier.
Electric lanterns have their own issues, though. Even after stuffing them full of batteries, they often don’t last an entire evening. Then you are adding more batteries, and if it gets left on, those are drained as well. It just isn’t worth the money. That is why I love the Supernova 300 Ultra Bright LED Camping Lantern. Instead of a ginormous 6v battery that didn’t last an hour, the Supernova uses three D batteries. With those three batteries, the light lasts for up to six days with continuous use. The LED light is quite bright; it can easily light up a room. The light bulbs last for 100,000 hours of use. Plus, unlike other lanterns, it does not need to be shut off because it overheats. You can touch the lantern at any time and it is cool or just slightly warm to the touch.
My kids use the Supernova Lantern all of the time at the house. It is so bright that Riley uses it as a lighting source when she makes videos. I am relieved that I don’t have to worry a bit about the girls using the lantern; it is completely safe.
The entire Supernova 300 LED Camping Lantern weighs less than a pound, so it is easy to carry when you are walking or hiking, and you don’t have to worry about fire danger. You can even remove the top and hang the unit from a convenient hook on the bottom to use as overhead lighting. There is red slow-blinking LED indicator near the on/off switch so that you can find it in the dark.
Select the Supernova 300 Ultra Bright LED Camping Lantern for a safe, efficient and inexpensive alternative for when you lose power in your home. You will want to buy more than one; keep them in the camper, the boat, and for all of your recreation needs.
