Is Maxwell Gates Enterprises a scam? Yes! Let me explain.

The Staple Books Scam.

How do I know this is a scam? 15 years ago, this scam was only $20 and I have a rule, if it’s only $20 – get it!

This scam is run 2 ways, they may only send you one of the two way, but I’m going to tell you both.

The letter you received (or one like it)

The first scam: Mailing the “Get Credit Now” booklet.

Here’s what happens.
1) You send MGE $49 of your hard earned bucks.
2) They send you the Manual, you also receive one VERY expensive stapler, and the information you’ll need to send out.
3) You open the manual and start to read.
The manual tells you how to create the scam. The manual tells you how to advertise, where to get mailing lists, whom to target.
You are told to copy the information, run the ads and as people send you checks, cash and money orders you start sending them out the manuals.
4)But they say “We’ll Pay” – get paid before you send anything out?
They don’t lie when they tell you you will be paid before you mail out any of the packets. They also tell you that you will only need to staple as many packets that you need to mail for them and that’s the truth, if you never advertise, you’ll never send anything out.

Keep reading there’s more to these scams.

The second scam: How to RUN this scam.

Here’s what happens.
1) You send MGE $49 of your hard earned bucks.
2) They send you the Manual, which btw, isn’t going to be stapled together – but we’ll get to that in a minute. You also receive a stapler – one VERY expensive stapler I may add. And that’s all you need!
3) You open the manual and start to read.
The manual tells you how to create the same scam you have just fallen for. The manual tells you how to advertise, where to get mailing lists, whom to target. It’s not stapled together so you can make copies and run the same scam.
4)But they say “We’ll Pay” get paid before you send anything out?
They do say that they will pay you and I’m pretty sure if you want to court on that you’d win and get your $49 bucks back. Of course it will cost you about $100 in small claims court fees and they are betting that since its only 49 bucks and you won’t want to admit you were that stupid, you won’t take them to court.
They don’t lie when they tell you you will be paid before you mail out any of the packets. They also tell you that you will only need to staple as many packets that you need to mail for them.

I am on every target list that scammers use. I’m on every mailing list, every new scammer is going to get my name/address and send me their form letter. I on all those mailing and email lists because I constantly look for online jobs so I can report on them and keep people from falling for these type of scams.

I know you’re saying but, but, but. Why don’t people just get their money back? Do you really think they are going to send you your money back? You send them a check, they now have your checking account number. There’s a good chance that your checking account is now empty. Or you sent them cash, so what you have proof of delivery, who are you going to whine too? Or you sent them a money order, how do you plan to stop payment on that?

Ask yourself a few questions:
How did they randomly get your name for this?
How do they know you’re responsible enough to actually send out those booklets?
If you owned this company would you pay a perfect stranger $20 to staple one 17 page booklet? And if you did, would you pay them BEFORE they shipped the booklets? I don’t know about you, but I’d staple booklets for $5 a booklet if I could do 50 to 100 booklets a week. Wouldn’t you? Doesn’t $20 seem a little extreme?

Reread the twp page letter again, everything I say makes sense, doesn’t it.

The 1st. red flag for me was where the letter came from…They were saying send the $49 dollars to Mendham, NJ but the letter was postmarked from Memphis, TN so just from that I thought it was a scam and decided to do some research…

  • Check out I,ve already paid for the program and they set up my web site but I can’t seem to get in to make any money. Are there other legit web sites that I can make money without spending lots of money. I,m umemployed right now and I need some online work where I can make a living and take care of my kids. Single Mom

  • I sent him a 99 dollar cashiers check about a month ago and I havent recieved anything from him. I sure would like to expose him,and get my money back.

  • i’m a mom of two disable kids and because they are sick i’m not able to work, so i was looking an oline work at home job to bring in extra income. do u know of any legit jobs that work.

  • Thanks so much for having this site….I just got my letter today and I have learned to look online before I make any major decisions…to see what others say . Thanks to you I found that my letter was sent from milwalkwee, WI….although address is from Mendham, NJ….Thanks….so much…

  • How can I be sure that job at home is true,? I would like more real information about this offer. i did recive just a informal letter an you are asking me for $99.00 refundable deposit. Could you please send me more real information about, Im very interesting in a job at home. sincerely , Coritza Vasquez

  • I received my letter today. I received the one about sending letters from one of the 5 categories. However if you want the 5th level you have to pay $299 for the 4th level and receive 9 “paychecks” before you can join the 5th level for JUST $299! The letter also states that this company is not a “rip off” like other companies that have you advertise for customers. After reading your information, it sound like Maxwell Gates is doing the same thing. The letter also states that you don’t have to pay for postage stamps. “All postage is reimbursable”. How can you be reimbursed unless you pay? The Better Business Bureau has had 46 complaints and MGE is not a member and does not respond. Thank you so much for you helpful info!!

  • There are so many people who not by choice but bt circumstance, must be at home. these people are looking for a way to help meet the medicle expences, so are looking for ways to help to bring in some extra income. legal was to spend a small amount, to do this from home.

Then you come acrss creeps like Maxwell gates Enterprises, who do not have enough guts to even put their phone on their cheeting letter. There are to many other ways to make an honest buck , to waste so many hours to creat the bigest packof lies.

  • I got a letter today from maxwell gates about stapling booklets. I decided to look it up and see if it was a real opportunity or not. So glad I did. Thanks for your work on checking things out. We have a large family and no money, so I was looking for something to maybe help with christmas or even just to get some food on the table. When they asked for $99 I knew I couldn’t do it anyway.
Thanks for the links to check out, as soon as I submit this I am going to check them out!!! Thank you again.

  • Obvious scam. All over the internet. You all need to file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and the FBI and shut down this massive scam.

  • I was wondering how aperson is suppose to get there money back from this stupid scam?

  • I received the letter stuffing scam today from Maxweel Gates and looked it up glad I did I have been scammed By six figure program , Click to cash and now evidently on a list of scammers for work at home projects The latest I have encountered is A supposed representative asked if you recently inquired about a work at home income and that they have beenrecruited by Visa Mastercard and that the card company has had a local representative to leave or retire and my name came up on the list and wouldn’t a second income be nice after a few minutes I inquire about how much the job will cost me Then they will tell you there is a fee and I tell them if it is over a dollar I am not interested because I have been out of work for 16 months and then they will tell you that it can be “Put On Your Card ” that is when I hang up I have received several of these calls ( over 100 since Nov.11 ) they do not come from the same place they are from all over the U.S. I have even asked to take my name off their call list tono avail So goes the life of work at home!!!!!!!

  • Just got the letter from Maxwell Gates re: stuffing envelpes, I must say it sounded too good to be true and I am so glad I did the research on this, what a low life, scamming people out of money in such a poor economy.

  • Got the same letter today and decided to check into it. Thank god I did. i can’t afford to loose money to some scam. Thanks for the post.

  • I am a caregiver. My clients were interested in the so-called booklets from Maxwell Gates. I am so glad I checked this out on-line before they acted on it. These scammers must be stopped!!!

  • Unfortunately, you guys will not get your money back..BUT each and everyone of you needs to file a complaint with the New Jersey Attorney General’s office. If enough people who have been scammed by this creep complain formally, the AG will be forced to investigate and hopefully put this jerk out of the biz of scamming decent, hard-working folks like you and me. I have been duped a few times before, and because of that, I research them all first on line.

The AG for has its own website…GO FOR IT!!! I got one of these things today in the mail..January 26, 2012. I will do the same..FILE YOUR COMPLAINT!!

  • My Reply: Notice how “Daniel” did NOT say I was Wrong!

I get paid every week by Maxwell Gates without fail. They are a perfectly reliable company. Everyone who posts negatives are people whove never used their program. I was skeptical too, but they turned out to be for real, and are very easy to communicate with. You people need to find something better to do with your time, pretty pathetic to see this.

  • So is the whole company a scam because I received a letter from them. It just sounds so perfect and the only way they found me is through the net looking for part-time do it at home and get paid work just for a little more income. So if you know any that may help please feel free to E-mail me and let me know just have so many bills right now and not enough income plus trying to get a house to call my home and a newer vehicle and get married. Thanks a heap Robert Weber

  • LOL Dear Daniel – Get a better NIGERIAN to English translator lol

Are you people real? Are you not notice that people not online who has used this program is happy with it and the ONLY people not making negative comments are those who is never seen it? Gates has been totally honest and reliable. You who complain not know that because you have NO right to complaining…. you never saw anything! I use it and make the money with it, what else do you need know?

  • I get maybe 2 or 3 times a year an offer letter that consist of making copies of the 3 -4 sheets of paper then moving the names up and adding mine to the bottom of list. And sending a $1 bill to each of the 5 people on the list. In turn I am suppose to gain 800,000 dollars in a few months. I have never taken advantage of this because by the time I get copies made, buy 200 envelops postage and buy a list of addresses I am spending about $250. So are these scams also or worth the try.

  • Thank you so much. I’ve tried looking for work at home jobs and was scammed once before a long time ago when I was a teenager. I’ve gotten smarter. When ever someone sends me something, I google it to see if it’s real and what others have to say about it. Thank you so much again for the all of the info including the links to real work at home website!

  • Thank you so much for having this information for me to review. Like Tiffany I also got this same letter and it sound too good to be true so I thought I would do a little more research since I have also signed up for work from ads and they have been a scam. Thank god for the internet.

  • I am glad i looked into this before deciding because I have a skeptic side of me that it is a scam. It seems to me that they would put the money in their pocket. I guess I am just not sure about these types of jobs. It does seem skeptic to me. I really need a job and fast but I have no money to so these easy job like tasks. THere is one other place that is a scam and I checked maybe you can check into it. IT is Primeamerica I looked into their site and their were complaints about that company as well. Please let people about that scam site too.

  • Iv’e tried surveys, they let me take survey for 35 to 45 minutes. Then I answer some question (truthfully)! And it reads “sorry but you don’t match this survey, try these….”

  • i just recieved a letter and was excited till i found out it was a scam due to me already being scammed once….i had to look it up first this time.

  • ax. Gates Ent. Is a deceitful liar. His whole purpose is to get your 49-99 $s. He then sends you some booklets and sucker addresses and instead of him providing any realistic individuals, he doesn’t pay you but expects you to take the risk of, not only finding, but then collecting from the other suckers. Now he wants you to supply the stapler as well as the postage and have you order the ” meirde del toro” from him. Translate BS.

I received this beautiful moneymaker today . This is a great opportunity to lose ,oops! I mean make excellent money . Send only $99 , refundable deposit , if you can find us after your check is cashed , to receive your truckload of 17 page pamphlet materials . Don’t forget to add the $5 for shipping and handling . OK first , this is not an opportunity BUT a JOB ! . Now if your foolish enough to pay for a JOB then I will charge a fee before I hire again . This must be what Snookie and her gang are up to these days . Now it’s time to go report this opportunity to New Jersey’s BBB ! .

  • I’m amazed, I must say. Seldom do I come across a blog that’s both equally educative and interesting, and without a doubt, you’ve hit the nail on the head. The problem is something which too few men and women are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy that I came across this during my hunt for something concerning this.

  • got my letter today! this is what happens when you open pandora’s box. the floodgates are opened for every unscrupulous opportunist (thief)….lets call them what they are… prey upon people who are desperate or at the very least, interested in an opportunity that pays. just remember, as the old saying goes, “if it sounds to good to be true, its because it isnt”. no e-mail address or phone number on the letterhead? wonder why? im glad there are some people out there paying attention.

  • Daaaaamn, I just received a letter about mailing. I’m so glad I looked it up >.<; It just too good to be true T__T; almost did it, since I'm desperate! D:

  • [eDee: Dear Angelina, That is a Very Good suggestion. I’m glad you brought it up. This post is to stop people before they make the mistake, but another post on what to do if you have fallen for it would be a great idea. Thank you. ~e]

Has any one talk with the attorney general I have a complaint form. The attorney general will take action if you do what they want you to send all copies of everything you spend your money on.And anything you got from them.

  • Thanks to the comments below I also checked the postmark & the return address… postmarked in Lehigh Valley, PA to be mailed to Mendham, NJ… don’t think so!!!! Thank you for the detailed explanation of this scam… it is unfortunate, but you are right it will cost too much to get your money back; and it does not appear the law wants to close these scams down.
