This months dinner with my parents and cousins had an extra bonus – Inflatable Bumper Balls!
These Inflatable Bumper Balls are SO MUCH FUN!!
My kids LOVED them. No surprise really. Is there anything better in this world then being allowed to run up and smash into your sibling without getting in trouble?!?! I only wish we had these when my sisters and I were growing up.
I don’t think it is possible to get hurt in the Bumper Balls. They are really big, but light enough so there is no struggle, but also just heavy enough so you don’t get to much speed up and hurt yourself.
Setup was easy. We had left the nozzle attachment for the pump up to camp, but there are a thousand ways to blow these things up. Shop vac, inflatable bed pump, and what my father used …. a mini leaf blower.
In just a couple of minutes the bumper balls were full size and ready for use. We rolled them out back and put them on.
And getting them off and on is really easy. Especially getting them off. I was a little nervous about getting out of it, but you just start to kneel and the ball just pops up and off you.
I had my dad and cousins there to help me in to it, but you won’t need help. My kids got them on and off in a matter of seconds all by themselves. Me, the adult, was overthinking it. The kids just rolled them over, popped them on and away they went.
One thing we didn’t realize until after we had them on is that the backpack strap things aren’t secured. They’re made to be adjusted when you put it on for the first time. Instead of sliding the strap backup through the buckle (like you should), we just tied a knot below the buckle. Worked just as well, but was more difficult when you wanted to adjust for the next person. I’d suggest you slide the strap back through the buckle to secure it as indicated in the directions.
I can’t wait to take them into the field behind camp this summer! It’s going to be the best 4th Party Ever!
