Homemade Microwave Popcorn No Burnt Kernels
I was online, skimming through FaceBook when I come across this image >
…. and my first thought was ‘Yeah Right!’ Things like this just don’t work.
But the girls wanted to try it ……. and we did and ….. IT WORKED! It Actually Worked!
Put 1/4 cup of regular old popcorn into a glass pyrex bowl and put a plate over the top to keep in the popping corn.
Set the microwave for 4 minutes and that’s about it.
CAUTION!
Contents are HOT – When you remove the Pyrex bowl from the microwave it will be HOT, the Popcorn will also be HOT.
Do NOT cook butter or oil in with the popcorn, that is what causes it to burn.
Cook JUST the popcorn, cook butter separately.
We’ve done this 4 or 5 times now and there are always kernels left uncooked. I scoop out the popped corn and put the unpopped corn back into the microwave. Works Great!
Making your own Microwave Popcorn costs far less than purchasing prepackaged microwave popcorn AND because you are the one adding the butter, you can add real butter or if you’re dieting – no butter at all.
And look how much 1/4 cup of popcorn makes!!
