Titan Military 550 Paracord
Titan Paracord has many practical uses. It the same 550 cord used by the U.S. Military, Astronauts and outdoor enthusiasts all around the world. Titan paracord is made from 100% nylon and contains 21 individual stands braided into seven 3-stand yarns, it has a total rated strength of greater than 550 pounds. It is light, durable, quick drying, UV resistant and resists rot and mildew.
Originally paracord was designed as the suspension lines or parachute cord for U.S. parachutes during World War II, soldiers found this cord useful for many other tasks that today just about all soldiers and serious adventurers have access it. 550-parachute cord is so versatile and reliable, that it was unofficially carried into space in 1997 and used by U.S astronauts to help repair the Hubble Telescope. Since then it has been incorporated into the inner construction of spacesuits and is regularly stocked as a general-purpose utility cord in the International Space Station.
My family and I would never go camping without Titan Paracord. It can be used to attach equipment to harnesses, as dummy cords to avoid losing small or important items, tying rucksacks or backpacks to vehicle racks, securing camouflage nets or tarps to trees or vehicles, and so forth. When threaded with beads, paracord may be used as a pace counter to estimate ground covered by foot. The yarns on the core can also be used when you need a finer string. They can be used as a sewing thread to repair gear or in case you forget your fishing line they can be used as line. There is no need to waste the nylon sheath if you have to take the internal threads out. The outside sheath can be used as a bootlace.
We love the versatility of this paracord but the favorite part about this paracord is that it keeps my kids busy if it’s a rainy day while we are camping. No need to hear the kids say they are bored when it’s raining and we are stuck in the camper. I just pull out some Titan Paracord and we make some bracelets. My kids love making and wearing paracord bracelets. They are perfect for girls and boys. They make great gifts for friends and family members and the kids are so proud that they made them on their own. It’s great to know that we have the Titan Paracord around to help us in any emergency even a crafting emergency.
