It’s all in the way you work the system.

When I started blogging, I was truly honest about everything, but I learned quickly that the only thing people care about is the angle – even when you don‘t have one.

Want to know how I made my very first blog go from a 0 PR to 4 in only a few weeks?
First, I got lucky because Google updated shortly after I had started – that helped the most.

BUT before that, I cleaned out my basement – just follow me for a minute – I took all the toys that were in good condition and listed them for free on my blog. Then I posted pictures of a few popular toys and a link to my blog with a message that read “Free Toys“, all over the US on Craigs List. They were free, you just had to pay the shipping.

You wouldn’t believe how many people took me up on it.
Next thing I knew people were posting links to my blog saying both good and bad about it – but it didn’t matter, because every link was moving me up the Google chart.
Before I knew it my blog had a PR score of 4 and I sold it on eBay. I could have gotten a lot more because of the PR score, but I had no idea what I was doing.

Most people will tell you that’s the worst way to build a blog, but that all depends on what you want to do with it.

When I built my first blog, I had no idea how to make money with it. I was happy that Google approved me and I was getting clicks. Soon Google was sending me $300.00 checks regularly.
When was the first time you got a $300.00 check from anything related to your blog?

I didn’t realize that if you have a PR score of 2 or higher you could sell your domain for thousands of dollars! I don’t think I made $400.00 on my first blog because I didn’t know that the person buying the blog had no interest in blogging, they only wanted my Domain and PR score that went with it.

When I started blogging, I wanted to keep moms from getting ripped off – That was my only goal.
Later I added another goal and that was to make money.
Now, I still want to make sure Moms don’t get ripped off, but I also want to help people with their blogs, and of course Make Money!

Do I make money with this blog, not really. I don’t think I’ve even setup the SEO.
This is my “For Fun” blog! I fell in love with the domain and I can’t see me ever giving it up.
But that won’t stop me from scarfing up other domains, building them up and selling them to the highest bidder!
